The Göteborg University - School of Photography and Film offers an extensive range of bachelor’s degree and master’s degree courses in the various subject areas associated with photography and film. In order to get enrolled in the various course programs of the school, the students have to clear an entrance test. For master’s degree courses, the eligible applicant is the one who has completed a university degree in photography or holds an equivalent qualification. However, the main qualifying criterion is of course the artistic and technical skills of the students in photography.

The Göteborg University - School of Photography and Film is a state-financed department of Art within the Fine Arts faculty of the Göteborg University. The Fine Arts faculty of Göteborg University is the largest fine Arts faculty in Scandinavia. The school basically focuses on free individual creativity.
