Institution Profile

The Kristianstad University opened its doors for students in the year 1977. In the last few years, there has been substantial rise in the total number of students studying in the Kristianstad University. As per the current statistics, the total number of students enrolled in the various courses is over seven thousand.

The Kristianstad University is organized into six academic departments. These departments include the department of Technology, the department of Business Studies, the department of Health Sciences, the department of Humanities and Social Sciences, the department of Behavioral Sciences, and the department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

At present, the Kristianstad University is offering somewhere around twenty six study programs and one hundred and fifty single subject course programs. The academic year of the university is organized into two main semesters – known as autumn and spring semester. The autumn semester runs from 28th August to 14th January. On the other hand, the spring semester runs from 15th January to 1st June.

The Kristianstad University does not offer any sort of accommodation. The students are supposed to arrange their accommodation on their own. Such accommodation is easily available in the form of apartments or rooms near the university. The university also provides its students a restaurant and student cafés within the campus. Things here can be subscribed at a subsidized rate. It is mandatory for the students studying in the university to be a member of the student’s union.
