Institution Profile

University West is one of the younger educational institutions that offer a variety of programs in various fields of study. The institution is also involved in various programs such as the Erasmus study exchange program, the Linnaeus-Palme study exchange program, Nordplus network study exchange program and the Leonardo practice trainee program. The institution has been developing and maintaining strong relationships with several leading international educational institutions.

Aspiring students can take up programs that can earn them degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The University comprises of four Departments- Social and Behavioral Studies, Economics and Informatics, Nursing, Health and Culture, and Technology, Mathematics and Computer Science.

University West offers Master's programs in Simulation of Manufacturing Processes, Robotics, Network Technology, Software Engineering and Informatics Management. Students can choose between a one year or two years Master's program. Training is imparted using a combination of theory classes and practical classes in addition to seminars and workshops. The institution follows the European Credit Transfer System. Students may also take up Swedish for beginners course that helps them learn the local language.

University West aims to develop Work-Integrated Learning techniques that will help the students get better quality of education. It has developed relationship with many local industries, almost 150 in number. Students are offered in-service education as well as a variety of short courses. The institution is also actively involved in research and has relationships with several national and international institutions.
