Located in Calgary Alberta, the school's driving programs are aimed at teaching students safety procedures, risk management and cost-control efforts in the case of fleet drivers. "A" Driving School offers training for cars, trucks, motorcycles and corporate fleets. For car drivers, "A" Driving School offers basic driving instruction in two specialized courses, the SAFER(TM) System of Defensive Driving and the SAFER(TM) Pro System. The school also offers a defensive driving course, an insurance reduction program for experienced drivers and a comprehensive 2-year driving program. Courses are also available online for the defensive driving course. "A" Driving School offers a variety of truck driving courses for beginners, drivers looking for advanced training and experienced drivers looking to enhance their skills. Mountain driving classes, specialized air brake courses and driver improvement courses are also available. The corporate fleet course offers special courses on trailer towing, quad vehicles, risk identification and mentally active driving skills. The school also offers motorcycle training courses for both beginner and advanced riders. "A" Driving School's SAFER System of driving incorporates both behavior-based and strategic systems in order to teach drivers about being active and proactive while driving. The school also has a range of specially developed Skid vehicles to give students an enhanced practical driving experience.
