B-Pro Dog Grooming Academy is located in the city of Brampton in Ontario, Canada. It is registered as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Act of 2005 and certified by the government. The school is the only dog grooming school in the province of Ontario where tuition fees may be deducted from tax.
B-Pro Dog Grooming Academy offers a 36 week long program in dog grooming. Students are taught about the needs of nine different groups of dogs. These groups include Sporting dogs, Hounds, Working dogs, Terriers, Toys, Non-sporting dogs, Herding dogs, Miscellaneous Classes and Cats. After completion of the course, students are able to groom up to five dogs in a day.
There are three levels of study. Level One consists of modules on basic care, anatomy, bathing, brushing and pet sitting. Level Two includes subjects such as preclipping, sales, marketing, inventory and computers. Level Three comprises courses in accounting, customer service, finishing and scissoring. A certificate of excellence is awarded for every level completed. Those who complete all three levels are granted a diploma.
B-Pro Dog Grooming Academy is equipped with the latest dog grooming gear. Students are given hands on practice in dog grooming techniques. The course is conducted from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Part time and evening classes are also available. Students are provided placement assistance. Many find jobs with groomers or veterinarians.
