Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy has a history of more than 50 years providing quality education that trains students to work as registered massage therapists. The institution has campuses in Victoria, New Westminster, Calgary, Kitchener, Toronto and Halifax.
The students receive more than 150 hours of practical experience by practicing in the teaching clinics. This builds their confidence as well as improves their skills under the supervision of a registered massage therapist. The institution also conducts several outreach programs helping the students gain valuable experience. The programs are offered three times a year in January, May and September. A fast track option of 18 month is also available apart from the 22 months regular program.
It is another fact that the students of the college are able to transfer credit earned from the diploma program towards a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology offered by the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton campus, or a Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences offered by the Athabasca University. The students may also opt for a Personal Trainer option that has been designed with the aid of CanFit Pro.
Successful graduates have rewarding careers as registered massage therapists as the demand for qualified individuals is ever increasing as people become or health conscious. They may work in Chiropractic, physiotherapy, sports clinics. They may work in holistic health centers as well as in spas, resorts, and fitness centers etc.
