The Canadian College of Performing Arts, Victoria, BC is a part of The Canadian Heritage Arts Society. It was founded in 1998. The Canadian College of Performing Arts is accredited by the PCTIA. Its students are trained to prepare them for careers in performance arts and aid in establishing them nationally and internationally.
The Canadian College of Performing Arts offers intensive one-year programs that train students to instill in them the international performance standards, enabling them to secure employment easily. The programs offer the students individualized training in such aspects related to performance arts as Acting, Voice, Dance, Musical Theater and career development.
The instructors are all trained professionals with extensive work experience on stage and screen. There are 22 faculty members including the founders and the principal who educate and train students, too. Bursaries and merit scholarships are also available. The exemplary training has enabled many of its successful graduates to garner contracts with some world-famous productions.
The students are given individual attention and the training provided by professionals, and the direct contact with the job market ensures that the students excel. The Canadian Heritage Arts Society pays for almost half of the tuition money by using its fund-raising programs. Successful students are awarded CCPA Certificates, and outstanding students are given "Certificate with Honors." A wide array of job opportunities awaits those who graduate from The Canadian College of Performing Arts.
