Canadian Working Divers Institute is registered and approved as a Private Vocational School in Ontario that offers training programs to students who aspire to make a career as commercial divers in a reasonable tuition budget. The program requires commitment from the students who have to be willing to travel, putting in long hours of hard work. The students also have to be self-motivated with commendable work ethics and habits. The program trains the students with the skills and techniques required in the commercial diving industry.

The students are required to buy certain equipments before joining the classes. For outstation students the institution can also make arrangements for accommodation. The institution has a student/instructor ratio of 5/1.The instructors are highly trained, competent professional with many years of experience.

The in-water practical projects are based on actual work environments giving students a first hand experience. The program comprises of 12 weeks of training. Each week students spend 24 hours in theory classes, and diving. They also devote 12 hours to learning about equipment maintenance and their assembly and dismantling procedures, as well as 12 hours of tutoring and independent study. Students are tested each week to monitor progress.

Students are required to produce a grade 12 certificate or its equivalent, up-to-date C.P.R. and First Aid certificate and an open water scuba certificate as well as a diving medical certificate. Students are also offered placement services by Canadian Working Divers Institute. Many students are hired on the day of graduation itself!
