Canaglobe TESOL Center is a career college. It focuses on preparing teachers to impart training in the teaching of English as a second language. Canaglobe's TESOL Diploma Program is recognized by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency, the British Columbia Career Colleges Association, the National Association of Career Colleges, and the BC Teachers of English as an Additional Language. Canaglobe TESOL Center offers two basic programs: TESOL, which is the Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages and TEC, Teaching English to Children. Canaglobe staff also helps graduates with finding jobs, resume building skills and interviewing techniques.
The 4-week Teaching English to Children Diploma Program is of hundred hours length and comprehensive in this specialization. Students get to learn teaching techniques and classroom management methods. They also learn how to include literature, storytelling, reading, games, drama, music, etc. The intensive four week Teacher Training Diploma Program for teaching children and adults open up many opportunities to the graduates in this exciting line of work. The center’s coursework includes assignments, presentations, lesson planning, teacher observations and practicum.
