Cape Breton Business College, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada was founded in 1958. It is registered under the Private Career College Act with the Nova Scotia Department of Education. It is an authorized Prometric Testing Center as well as being a Microsoft Authorized Academic Training Provider.
Cape Breton Business College offers programs such as Business Computer Applications Diploma [44 weeks], Continuing Care Assistant Diploma [36 weeks], Dental Assisting Diploma Level II [46 weeks], Office Administration Secretarial Diploma [44 weeks], Pharmacy Technology Diploma [43 weeks], Professional Secretarial Diploma [40 weeks], Technology Transfer [48 weeks], Teacher Assistant Diploma [41 weeks] etc.
Students have to have a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent or have a mature student certificate. The tuition payment is also available in two plans to help students. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Students have lifetime access to the institute’s job placement department. Students are offered help with professional resume preparation, and interview preparation and job search techniques are also taught.
The instructors all have a post-secondary education, having university degrees or professional designations in fields such as education and computer science. The college works from Monday to Friday. Four computer labs with the latest technology and the Internet enable students to get trained in the Computer Technology Diploma Program, which was introduced in 1999-2000. The job outlook for professionally qualified students is always much better than for those who are not trained professionally.
