Based in London, Ontario, the DeVog Academy of Hair Design offers comprehensive courses on hair design and styling. It is a member of the PIVOT POINT system of schools and has won the Ontario Hair School of the Year for 2006. The DeVog Academy of Hair Design has many state of the art resources and facilities which ensure that each student gets the best learning experience possible. Interactive DVDs and workshops offering hands-on training, form part of the course material. Students work on individual mannequins in order to understand the nuances of hair design and styling.
The institute's curriculum covers three main divisions of training, namely theory, skills and practice. The theory section is taught from two textbooks, Salon Fundamentals and the Scientific Approach, which will go on to form the foundation for each student. The skills area will concentrate on developing the student's dexterity, artistry and quality of work. Finally, students are asked to work on actual clients and do portfolios to build their experience. The DeVog Academy of Hair Design offers a range of financial aid options for eligible students, ranging from payment plans and grants to student loans.
