The Edith Serei School of Advanced Esthetics was founded in 1962 in the province of Ontario. It was started by Madam Edith Serei, who took it upon herself to establish some of the first spas and esthetic training facilities in North America. Today, the school has campuses in Toronto, Quebec City and Montreal and is approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education & Training. It is also an approved Private Career College.
The institute offers a fulltime diploma program in medical esthetics, which covers all aspects necessary to become a professional medical spa practitioner. Students that enroll here learn about electrolysis, esthetics and new technologies that have entered the esthetics field.
The Edith Serei School of Advanced Esthetics also offers postgraduate courses in advanced spa therapies, new technologies and teeth whitening. These courses range from 1 day to 8 weeks and greatly increase the basic skills of experienced students, thus expanding their employment possibilities. Part time certificate courses are also available in facial skin care, manicure, pedicure, waxing and make-up artistry. The institute is also planning to incorporate a new Spa Management program into its curriculum. This program will deal with the specifics of teaching how to set up a professional spa and will cover all aspects of business planning and marketing strategies. The Edith Serei School of Advanced Esthetics also runs a line of salons which offer a range of treatments and spa packages, specially designed with the customer in mind.
