Students of the Interior Academy School of Hair, Esthetics & Nails are trained to maintain and uphold work ethics, professionalism, and client care. Students are trained with the aim to help them excel in their chosen professions.
Interior Academy School of Hair, Esthetics & Nails helps students by encouraging teamwork and leadership qualities and by providing an environment that is ideal for learning. It has an extensive video library with numerous educational tapes both American and European. Students are also taught window dressing, inventory control, and product selection.
Interior Academy School of Hair, Esthetics & Nails mandates that the students possess a BC secondary school diploma or hold mature student status. Students are required to take a pre-entrance examination to determine if they have an aptitude for beauty-related courses. The hairdressing program of 1500 hours lasts approximately 10 months, and the esthetics program lasts 800 hours or 6 months.
The instructors are highly qualified and offer theory as well as hands-on training to students. After successfully completing the program, students are required to pass the mandatory Cosmetologists Industry Association Exam, after which they can apply for the 5-year license for the province of BC. Financial aid is available for deserving candidates.
