The Interior Academy of Hair Design, Esthetics and Nails, Kamploops BC is accredited by the PTCIA. The institution offers full-time programs in hairdressing, esthetics, and nails. The programs are designed with the intention of training the students to become expert beauticians and cosmetologists. The students have to master theory as well as practical classes before they get practical work experience by training on the clients.
The Interior Academy of Hair Design, Esthetics and Nails also offers specialized courses in massaging, hair coloring, and hair cutting that are designed to upgrade skills or refresh them by offering students a chance to learn the latest technology. The hairdressing program is for 1500 hours, lasting approximately 10 months.
The esthetics program is for 1,200 hours and lasts for 8 months. It offers students training in such subjects as Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage, Spa Technician, Swedish massage, Sumishi Microcurrent, Manicures, Pedicures, Facials, Body Treatments, Makeup Artistry, Waxing, Nails, and Eyelash/Brow Tinting. All the instructors are trained and professional cosmetologists.
The nail technician courses lasts for 400 hours or 3 months, and students learn such subjects as Acrylics, Gels, Nail Art, Pedicures, Manicures, Overlays, and Fills. This course is also a part of the esthetic program. Students must have a grade 12 education or have a mature student status. The courses are started every 6 weeks, and financial aid is also available to deserving students.
