The Island Pacific Flight Academy is located on Vancouver Island and is fully accredited by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency. The academy offers a wide range of flight training programs, aimed at both beginner pilots and those looking to make a career in the flight business.
As more and more people learn about the joys of taking a private flight, the need for licensed pilots has also risen. While some students are simply looking to get a permit to fly small planes, other may be looking to establish a career in commercial flying. The Island Pacific Flight Academy caters to the needs of all students, providing comprehensive flight training for all levels.
The academy offers a recreational pilot permit course which provides a pilot license to the students to fly single engine aircrafts anywhere in the country. The private pilot license course teaches students how to handle light aircrafts with passengers both in Canada and internationally.
A commercial pilot course is also available which consists of 30 hours of solo flight time and 40 hours of ground school work. The Island Pacific Flight Academy also offers additional night rating, VFR over the top rating, instructor rating and floater rating. As part of the ground school requirements, students are examined on aeronautics, air law, navigation and meteorology. The academy also offers a range of scenic tours to the public which include a city panorama tour and a glacier flight.
