Juan Air has been providing charter services and flight training for more than 25 years. Juan Air is a member of the Air Transportation Association of Canada and is a registered postsecondary institution. It offers its services from the Victoria International Airport, which is quiet close to Sidney. It is a medium density airport, and so it provides an ideal environment for students to get trained. Juan Air has a history of producing some of the best graduates. The training provided is of such high caliber that the graduates have been recruited by Major and Regional Airlines, Float, Bush and Corporate operators, and the Air Force. The students also have been employed by Juan Air to help its Air charter division. The instructors are full-time employees, and the school operates 7 days a week. Juan Air owns about 10 planes made by Cessna and Piper, ensuring easy availability of aircrafts for training or for charter services. Students are trained initially in Single engine Cessna 150’s and 172’s, and the more advanced training is conducted using twin engine Piper aircraft. Advanced training is also provided in a Frasca 102 simulator, which is much more cost effective. Financial aid is available for students working on commercial pilot training programs. Private or Commercial licenses can be secured and endorsed with Night, Multi-Engine, Instrument and Instructor Ratings, enabling students to get good-paying jobs after graduation.
