Vancouver Institute of Media Arts is fully certified by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia. A specialized "media arts school" and not just a "department" within a bigger institution, Vancouver Institute of Media Arts offers 1 and 2-year diploma and 6-month certificate programs in 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Game Art & Design, Visual Effects, and Digital Photography. The class size is small and the student trainer ratio is 10:1. This allows more interaction among students and faculty.
