Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary, established in 1987, is located in Cochrane, Alberta. Graduates of this college are working with various ministries in Canada and United States as chaplains, pastors and professors. They are also working as missionaries in countries outside Canada, advisor council members in various churches, staff personnel in various universities and trustees at seminaries. The graduate degrees offered by the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary are fully accredited through the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in the United States and Canada. The college offers a three-year Master of Divinity and two-year Master of Religious Education. One can also do undergraduate training in religious studies through a one-year Certificate of Christian Studies or a two-year Associate Diploma of Christian Ministry. There is also a three-year Bachelor of Christian Ministry degree meant for common people who want to serve the Church. The college offers a special one-year program for high school graduates who fall below the minimum age required for the Bachelor of Christian Ministry degree. The college has a library with more than 36,000-catalogued volumes and over 185 periodical titles. For those who cannot attend regular classes at the Cochrane campus, the Seminary offers the M. Div. degree through its online portal SeminaryLink.com. This program combines online course material with intensive on-campus courses in January and June. In addition the college has off-campus courses in cities such as Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal to provide theological training.
