  • Security Training BST Level 1 - Grace Community College
    Georgian College's 1-year, 3-semester Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training certificate prepares for a career or career advancement in Firefighting. The Program is endorsed by the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office (OFM) and the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs (OAFC), and its curriculum 'has been developed by the OAFC, OFM and partnered Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts & Technology.'

  • Security Training BST Level 2 - Grace Community College
    Grace Community College in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada is approved by the Province of BC, Security programs, Police Services Division, Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General to offer BST Level 1 Security Training. The latter meets the qualifications standards for those employed in the security field in the Province. BST 1 training is 5 days in duration and is comprised of 5 modules.

    The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) provides training for individuals aspiring to a career in the security industry, in accordance with the BC Private Investigators and Security Agencies Act and Regulations. The JIBC offers both Basic Standards Training 1 (BST1) and Basic Standards Training 2 (BST2), and the former may completed entirely online. BST 1 and 2 may also be completed at 1 of over 53 JIBC-approved schools across BC.

  • Gaming Security Officer Training - Justice Institute of British Columbia
    The Justice Institute of British Columbia 2-week Gaming Security Officer Certification Program equips students with the knowledge and skills 'to qualify for employment, 'as security personnel, 'in casinos and other gaming facilities' in BC. However, graduates will have the skills to work as security personnel in a variety of settings not just gaming environments. Graduates will receive Basic Standards Training 1 and 2 (BST1 and BST2) certification.
