Introduction
Located in Kingston, Ontario, the Faculty of Law at Queen's University is a smaller, more intimate law school which has a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, 'exceptional teaching and scholarship,' and innovative, 'comprehensive and rigorous academic' programs that are 'both national and global in scope.' The Faculty is home to award winning professors who have been nationally and internationally recognized as foremost experts in their respective fields, and who have made significant contributions as advisors, consultants, and directors to law commissions, organizations, projects, and programs around the world.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
Moreover, the Faculty is among the national leaders when it comes to providing financial assistance to its students. In 2005/2006, for example, about 59 percent of the Faculty's 'students qualified for bursary support, with an average amount of almost $5,000 - sufficient to cover over one-half the cost of tuition,' and a further 4 percent of students qualified for financial aid programs that covered tuition in its entirety.
