Graduate certificates are also available. Students must have completed an undergraduate degree in a related field such as special education, social work, or early childhood education. Students must have valid First Aid and CPR certification, and undergo a police record check.
UBC offers Master's-level programs (MA and MEd) in autism and developmental disabilities. To be admitted, students must have an undergraduate degree in a related field such as special education, early childhood education, or social work, with at least a B+ average. Experience in autism or developmental disabilities, such as that gained through industry experience or directed studies, is an asset. Students may undergo a police record check prior to clinical placements. First Air and CPR training is required.
