Engineering Management Research Areas and Disciplines

Most research in engineering management focuses on interdisciplinary studies that advance the understanding of entrepreneurship in technology-based enterprises. This includes the facilitation of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial approaches to university management, and the management of research and research projects within universities.

Other research focuses on new ventures and how they succeed or fail. There are investigations into the factors associated with new venture success, the attraction and management of private equity, and the valuation of firms and technologies.
