Prerequisites Needed to Study Environmental Engineering in Canada
The admission requirements for environmental engineering programs are usually similar to those of any engineering program; primarily, it is recommended that students have a strong background in math and science courses, particularly physics and chemistry. Calculus and/or other advanced math courses should definitely be taken at the high school level. Because of the competitive standards of engineering programs, the minimum academic standards are often not sufficient to guarantee entry. Some of the more technologically oriented programs also require prior work experience in the field.
