What is Environmental Chemistry?
Environmental chemistry is the scientific study of the chemical and biochemical phenomena that occur in nature. This includes the study of the sources, reactions, transport, effects, and fates of chemicals in the air, soil, and water environments. It also includes the impacts of human activity on these. These impacts may be felt on a local scale (eg. toxic substances arising from a chemical waste site) or on a global scale (eg. climate change).
About Environmental Chemistry
Environmental chemistry is a subfield of chemistry and is related to analytical chemistry. It is also related to soil science, forestry, biology, and environmental science.
