Prerequisites Needed to Study Rural Planning and Development in Canada
The admission requirements to undergraduate programs in rural development vary depending on the type of degree or area of specialization. All require students to be well-rounded, with a strong academic background in writing skills as well as math and science (particularly biology). Admission to rural development programs is limited, and students would be well-advised to have some previous volunteer experience in their communities on some level, or at least a clear idea of their reason for wanting to pursue the program.
