Thompson Rivers University's School of Business and Economics provides students with flexible course offerings and opportunities for collaboration in order to build the understanding, skills and confidence they will need to succeed in a business environment. The faculty at the School of Business and Economics are diverse and approachable and maintain an open door policy offering students extensive opportunity for face-to-face interaction. The school also offers options such as field schools and co-op opportunities which allow students to enrich their learning experience.

TRU Business and Economics students have a record of achievement and success. In 2010, TRU's MBA Case Team reached the semi-finals in the 2010 John Molson MBA International Case Competition, an event that includes students from 36 universities around the world. The Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team also brought home a number of awards from the 2010 Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) National Exposition. Graduates of School of Business and Economics programs have gone on to leadership roles in a variety of sectors, and enjoy excellent prospects for the future.

Application Process and Requirements

Grades
Applicants must possess an acceptable 3 or 4-year undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum B- average (GPA of 2.67 on a scale of 4.0) in the last 60 credits; and completion of the 12 TRU MBA Qualifying Courses or their approved equivalencies with a minimum B- (GPA of 2.67 on a scale of 4.0) in each course.

Minimum GMAT Score
A minimum GMAT score of 550 within the last five years. Students with a GMAT score of 500-540 may be offered a seat if capacity is available.

TOEFL
A minimum TOEFL score of 600 with a TWE of 5.0 or higher (paper-based test), or a score of 260 with an Essay of 5.0 or higher (computer-based test), or a minimum of a 100 with no section below 20 (IBT), or IELTS of at least 7.0 (all bands), or completion of TRU ENGL 1100 and ENGL 1290, or equivalent.

$22,266 full-time, total tuition
