BM Chan International Cosmetology College, established in 1988 is a registered trade school accredited by the Private Career Training Institution Agency. Students are helped to realize their dreams of a career in this industry through the highest standard teaching techniques like Pivot point for hairdressing, Beijing Pharmaceutical University Chinese Acupuncture Pen for beauty and health therapy, Chinese Acupressure Massage, Japanese Shiatsu etc. The school has a theory classroom and professional hair, esthetics and nail stations and includes audio and laser visual instruction with modern hi-tech equipment.
The BM Chan College has instructors who are experts in theory and practical. Courses in hair, esthetics and nail technology are offered. The BM Chan Hair Standard program teaches the basic and advanced perm design, color design and cutting techniques. This course prepares students for intermediate level positions in the industry after they pass the Province of British Columbia licensing exam. A one-year diploma program called Hair Design – International Creative Director is also offered.
The BM Chan Esthetics Standard program teaches basic esthetic techniques that include manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, make-up, eyebrow shaping, waxing and facials. The course also teaches face massage techniques. A 12-month diploma program called Esthetics - International Creative Director is also offered.
The Nail Technician Diploma program teaches manicures, pedicure, artificial nails, aromatherapy and a combination of Eastern and Western massage techniques for hand and foot care.
Students completing these courses obtain the necessary licenses and are assisted with job placements.
