Capilano Truck Driver Training Institute is a modern institution that is well equipped with the latest equipments and vehicles in the field. It is one of the first providers of Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council Training. The institution has vehicles with 13, 15 and 18 speed transmissions. The vehicles are equipped with diesel engines, air brakes and tandem axles. The institution also has 5 different trailer onfigurations ranging between 30' to 48' Highboys and vans, thereby ensuring that students are well trained.

The theory classes are conducted in a classroom that is well equipped with the latest in technology such as audio visual aids, displays etc. Students may also relax in the student lounge that has vending machines. The institution can also arrange for work experience to give students a chance to practice what they have been taught. The instructors have been carefully selected and are dedicated, patient and professional. They teach students to be safe and responsible drivers through theory as well as practical classes.

The students at the Capilano Truck Driver Training Institute may avail of financial assistance such as Alberta Student Loans or Employment Insurance funding. The programs usually vary between 1 to 12 weeks and one program offers a one month practicum with an employer. Successful students may drive a straight truck or may work as co-driver with an experienced driver. The students have to train in tire changing tactics.
