The Centre for Distance Education, Sydney, Nova Scotia, was established in 1996 and is registered as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Regulations Act. The Centre for Distance Education is the parent company of The Digital Arts and Technology Institute. The institution offers an alternative to regular college education, enabling its students to learn from their homes or their workplace.
It offers various programs such as Legal Office Administration, Medical Office Administration, Computerized Business Accounting, Computerized Business Applications, DArTT (Digital Arts and Technology Training Institute) programs, 3D Animation, 3D Animation Advanced: Character Animation, Video Game Art & Illustration, Digital Imaging, Digital Publishing, Web Design, PC Maintenance & Repair Technology and Web Application Developer: ASP.NET.
