The Columbia College offers courses in Criminal Justice, Dental Assistant, Human Services, Nursing, Personal Care Worker, Academic Upgrading, Management, ESL and Community Support. The college was established in 1986 with an aim to provide quality education to students through seminars, practical training, workshops and other means. The Canada Secretary of State has recognized the college as one of the 19 best Canadian colleges running programs in adult education.
The goal of Columbia College is to provide education that will enable a student to reach professional heights in minimum possible time. Students who opt for the accelerated courses at the college can graduate in 1-2 years instead of the regular 3-4. The programs are recognized by various professional organizations, including Alberta Association of Career Colleges, Alberta Corrections, Alberta Dental Assistant Association, Alberta Learning, American Management Association, Canadian Institute of Management, among others.
