Muskoka Training conducts a Truck Driver Training course, a Heavy Equipment Operator Training course and a Dump Operator training course. All the courses are designed to give the student specific skills as well as a complete understanding of construction and general overhauling.
The programs emphasise learning by doing and practical experience is stressed as much as theoretical knowledge. The training is one on one, so that individual needs are addressed competently. All the courses teach students about understanding and operating special machinery and servicing and maintenance. Special attention is devoted to safety issues, driver awareness and practical road sense.
The Truck Driver Training course varies in duration. It covers a wide range of vehicles including dump trucks, van trailers and flat deck trucks.
The Heavy Equipment Operator Training course covers excavators, bulldozers, road graders and 4 wheel drive loaders among other equipment. This course can be customised to the needs of the student.
