The objective with which teaching is carried on in Ontario College of Health and Technology is based on certain principles. The areas of expertise which this college has built are:
1) A Communications Dispatcher Program- This allows students to learn how to operate radios and similar electronic devices. They are also taught to dispatch emergency vehicles and coordinate the activities on the periphery.
2) The Fitness and Health program – Provides graduates with the necessary skills that help them adjust into the highly competitive fitness business.
3) Medical/ Dental and Legal Office Administration – This course is designed to provide graduates with the necessary requirements to carve a niche in the world of their respective fields.
4) Massage Therapy which spans over a period of 2 years is a course in the soft tissues and joints of the body as well as a study in the prevention of physical dysfunction and pain.
The college also aims to protect the public interest and is one of the regulatory bodies of the province. It regulates the profession of massage therapy. Since they maintain nothing but high standards, they ensure impeccable quality healthcare.
The college is registered under the Ministry of training, Colleges and Universities as a private college. It has a special quality assurance program as well which helps the college maintain its up to date standards.
