Originally known as the Carleton University School of Business until the year 2000, the Eric Sprott School of Business, named in honour of Eric Sprott, a Carleton Commerce Alumnus and founder of Sprott Securities Incorporated and Sprott Asset Management, has been grantEric Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, which is located in Ottawa, Ontario, offers bachelor degrees in Commerce (Honours) and International Business (Honours), a Minor in Business (undergraduate level), the Master of Business Administration (MBA), with specialization options in Business Information Systems, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, Production and Operations, and Research and Development Administration, Eastern Ontario's only doctorate in Management, and a wide range of professional development programs for individuals already in the workforce. With agreements with 24 institutions in 12 countries worldwide, the School is globally connected. In fact, the Business School at at Carleton University also offers its MBA programs in China and Iran and maintains a 'management education program with the University of Havana in Cuba.

Like its parent facility, Carleton University, the Eric Sprott School of Business is a comprehensive and research-intensive institution whose programs are focussed on creating highly specialized, analytical, forward-looking, and technologically literate graduates with a deep comprehension of complex business issues who will be able to succeed in and contribute to the business world. The School is currently working towards increasing the number of available student scholarships, enhance its e-business education, and furthering its ability to provide current, relevant business education and research.

Grades
Applicants must hold an Honours Bachelor degree with a minimum "B" average and prerequisite Carleton University business courses, or equivalents, BUS 1001, 1002, 2101, 2204 or 2208, 2300, 2400, 2504, and ECON 2201.
