What is Developmental Psychology?

Developmental psychology (also known as human development) is the study of age-related changes throughout the human life span. It identifies the biological, psychological, and social aspects that interact to influence the growing human life-span process.

Developmental psychology used to be restricted to child development, but has been recently expanded to include the study of the physical, motor, cognitive, intellectual, emotional, personality, social, and moral changes that occur throughout all stages of the life span.

About Developmental Psychology

Developmental psychology is a subfield of psychology and is similar to cognitive science. It is also related to school psychology, education, and neurology.
