Zoology Graduate Admission Requirements in Canada

Prerequisites for Graduate Studies in Zoology

MSc programs are available to students who already hold a previous undergraduate degree in a related subject such as biology or zoology. An average of at least B+ over the last 2 years is required. Previous work experience (co-op work terms, honors research project, directed studies, etc.) is mandatory at most schools.

Admission to a PhD program can either be directly from an undergraduate degree with an average of at least A-, or after acquiring a relevant MSc degree with an average of at least B+.

As all graduate programs require a supervisor, some schools require this person to be approved prior to final admission.
