Profile of Career College/Trade School
DevStudios was established in the province of Alberta in 1999. The institute is unique in that it is directly linked with the corporate operations of the company. In this way, students become familiar with the workings of a corporate IT office on a first-hand basis right from the beginning. The institute offers both full time and part time courses for a wide variety of IT-based subjects.
DevStudios also caters to the needs of students from the international community and has recently opened a new campus in Leon, Mexico. The institute follows the Canadian model of IT training programs and classes are taught in both English and Spanish.
The institute currently offers five diploma programs which are geared toward equipping students with the skills needed to find immediate employment. A Software Development MCSD.NET program is available for students looking out to explore Internet and Desktop applications. The program currently enjoys a 96% placement rate for its graduates. Students with a more creative bend of mind can opt for the Design and Motion Graphics course, which offers up-to-date training in the latest software and multimedia applications. A 3D animation course is also available and training in it gives the students the advantage of being able to work in a professional studio. A 3D game modeling program as well as a course in Digital Audio Production is also available. The institute also provides a Mentorship Program and special classes on job search techniques, resume writing and interview skills. Information on job postings is also available.
