The Suncoast Diving School is located in Sechelt in the province of British Columbia in Canada. If you have always been fascinated by the sea and have dreamt of traveling to the depths of the ocean to discover new sea creatures, then you would do well to learn to dive. Suncoast Diving School is the only resort-based PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center in Canada. Folks have to first fill out a medical form and get their physician’s approval. Once admitted, students are taught various diving techniques as well as modules on exploration, conservation research, currents, marine life, and first aid. They are taught to dive for shipwrecks on the Sunshine Coast as well as drift diving at the Skookumchuck Rapids and deep sea dives. The Suncoast Dive Team has friendly and experienced diving instructors who put students through rigorous diving practice as well as theoretical study. The courses at Suncoast are accredited by the PCTIA. The school was rated the Number 1 dive destination in Canada by Rodale's magazine. In fact, the school certifies more divers than any other diver training institution in Canada. The Suncoast Diving School is today a National Geographic Dive Center. Students who graduate from Suncoast Diving School can start a career as a professional diver with tourism companies, recovery firms, television channels or research companies. They also have the option of applying for positions as a lifeguard or coastguard.
