An applicant's resume will reveal his/her work history and experience. Usually, the school to which one is applying will require to know the number of years of work experience the applicant has and where he/she worked, duties performed, responsibilities and title(s) held, the scope of the position(s) held, and the career level attained. The average number of years of work experience required by MBA schools in Canada is 2.4 years ranging from no work experience required to 5 years. However, on average, Canadian MBA students have 6.4 years of work experience. An applicant's chances of being accepted may be increased if his/her years of work experience is closer to or exceeds the average of the students' of the school to which one will apply rather than the latter's minimum requirement. An applicant may also research what, if any, quality of work experience is preferred or provides a better chance of being accepted.
