Profile of Career College/Trade School
The objective of the Computer Training Institute is to carry on with a ritual of superiority in the field of computer training for tomorrow's challenges. If you intend to have a rewarding career, then you need to show that you have a competitive edge and that you are better than your nearest competitor. The value of the courses and diplomas awarded by Computer Training Institute is an example in itself. The training offered by Computer Training Institute provides the students with the required competitive edge.
The college really cares for all its students. The Computer Training Institute was set up in 1986 in Frederiction, N.B. It initially started out by offering short-term computer training programs and that too mostly to the business sector. In the month of June 1997, because of excessive enrolments and the booming IT job sector, the college moved from its current location to Saint John, N.B. Since its commencement, the college has been offering five and ten-month diploma programs to all its students who needed to have computer training to take advantage of the IT boom and secure a job in the high tech industry.
The programs that are offered now are of duration of twelve months inclusive of two months of on-the-job training. The courses have been updated to suit the requirements of the ever changing industry. The Multimedia lab in the institute is a double lab containing Pentium® MMX computers, Macintosh® Power PC's and iMac's. It is also equipped with scanners, digital cameras, Ink Jet printers, photo printers and Internet.
