Profile of Career College/Trade School

Festival School of Hairstyling is registered and approved as a private vocational school under the Private Vocational Schools Act. It offers a comprehensive training program in Hairstyling techniques that can lead up to a diploma. Successful students can take up the government exam and get a provincial license.

Festival School of Hairstyling offers new classes on the first Monday of each month. The classes are conducted Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Class sizes are small ensuring personalized attention to each student enabling them to learn at a faster pace. There are four licensed hairstylists with many years of experience who instruct the students. They are dedicated and committed to encouraging the creative talent in each student as well as incorporating in them safe and hygienic customer service.

The curriculum at the Festival School of Hairstyling has been designed with care and is frequently updated to ensure that the students gain experience in the skill sets that are in demand. The modern state-of-the art facility is equipped with the latest equipments in the field and is where students spend nearly 80% of the 1500 hours. They are taught the latest tricks of the trade and are trained in all aspects of hair care and styling, from shampooing to coloring and hair relaxation etc. The students first train using mannequins and later work on models thereby gaining practical experience to help them work on clients without a qualm at their work.

Successful students have various job opportunities. They can find employment in salons, spas, resorts, cruise liners and can take up the job of instructing other aspiring students.
