Profile of Career College/Trade School

St. Joseph’s College of early childhood education was established in 1970 by the St. Joseph's Children's Centre. It is located in the town of Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada. The College offers a two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education that is nationally licensed by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and approved by the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services.

Students can choose to complete the diploma on a full-time or part-time basis. Financial assistance in the form of bursaries is available at St. Joseph’s College for students who qualify. Students of the full-time, two-year course are admitted in September; part-time students can join in the spring, fall, and winter semesters.

Students who complete an Early Childhood Education course from St. Joseph’s College are taught to train kids ranging from 0 to 12 years. The College has facilities like a resource centre, library, and lab schools where students are taught to inspire and encourage young children to be active learners. They learn subjects like child growth, health, nutrition, behavior, special needs, and dealing with parents.

The College offers 100% job assistance and trains students to apply for jobs. Because there are more vacancies than qualified people, students find it downright easy to get a job. Most graduates are employed as educational assistants in full-day or half-day child care centers, parent co-operatives, playrooms, schools, family resource centers, or social service agencies.
