Since the year 1961, the Valle School of Beauty, has focused on educating aspiring hairdressers and cosmetologists. The school offers training in hair design, with the course material being kept up to date to match the latest trends. They follow the prestigious Pivot Point system of teaching through their highly skilled certified staff. Students are awarded certificates after they complete the courses. The school is accredited by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency. Three programs, namely Diplomas in Cosmetology, Hairdressing and Nail Technician are offered. The cosmetology diploma is of thirteen months and includes make up and hairdressing; enabling students offer it as a package service for their clients. It involves 1620 hours of training. The Hairdressing Diploma teaches the skills, attitudes and knowledge required for students to independently and creatively work as hairdressers. Most of it is practical training. Training in Hair Extensions is given along with an additional certificate in color. 1500 hours of practice is essential combined with a practical and written exam at the successful completion of which, they are awarded the Diploma. The 18-week Nail Technician program teaches various skills including Manicure and Pedicure training so that students become proficient in applying artificial nails. The school believes in student centered learning through theory and practice. Instructors demonstrate skills, encouraging students to participate. The school salon has students performing services for real customers under the close guidance of their tutors.
