What do Fine Arts students learn?Because these programs are usually interdisciplinary in nature and geared to individualized study, the possible combinations of courses are extremely varied. Students in general fine arts programs usually pursue studies in a mixture of visual, performing and other fine arts, such as digital media and film. They attempt to understand the relationships between various arts, the new artistic media that emerge from these relationships, and the local and global context of art in the modern world. Depending on the institution, this degree may also be combined with a joint major in education or communication studies.
