While in the care of ResQme Barks and Meows, these animals receive whatever medical attention they need in a loving foster home environment. When these rescues have been spayed, neutered, vaccinated and are fully recovered from whatever medical procedure they may have needed, we then adopt them out to loving homes which become their FOREVER homes.

Windsor Women Working with Immigrant Women (WWWWIW) is a non-profit organization formed in 1982 by a group of women in the city of Windsor. These women realized that new Canadians have needs that are not catered to by the existing service centre in Windsor. They brought this fact to the attention of the Government of Canada and through a grant application that presented the results of a 1981 feasibility study. This feasibility study was conducted with the objective of determining the needs of new Canadians in Windsor.

A civilian Board of Directors was formed with its support and expertise.

In the early 1960’s, Dr. Elmer Butt, a noted Windsor radiologist and equestrian observed horses being used for therapy with physically challenged children in England. He brought the idea back to Windsor with him and in September 1971, Dr. Butt chaired a meeting to form what was to become the Windsor Association of Riding for the Handicapped (W.A.R.H). It became the first such association in Canada.
