Profile of Career College/Trade School

Though the main campus Kingston Learning Center is located at Kingston, centers have been set up in Cornwall, Ottawa, Trenton, Whitby, Richmond Hill and Smith Falls where a limited number of courses are being introduced. A new center is being set up in York for education assistant program. Students from Kingston Learning Center are being employed by lawyers, dentists, doctors, pharmacists and nursing homes. The College also offers courses in computer training and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. A new course in defensive driving training is also being offered. Kingston Learning Center is a member of the Ontario Association of Career Colleges and National Association of Career Colleges. The college is registered under the Private Career Colleges Act. It also has accreditation from Ontario College of Pharmacists, The Ontario Dental Nurses and Assistants Association, Medical Secretaries Association and Ontario Nursing Home Association. For students who cannot decide on their future course of career, the college offers career guidance through a Career Directions Program. Through this program experts and career assessment testing is done to determine a career suited to the student’s aptitude and skill sets. The college also helps students with preparing resume and facing interviews. The advantage with Kingston Learning Center is that the courses start at regular periods throughout the year which enables students to start a program at a convenient time. Students are also required to complete an internship program with each course in order to give them hands-on experience of the career they have chosen.
