Arbutus College equips its students with the skills and education they need to stay ahead in today’s challenging job scenario. Students are placed in a business internship, which is integrated into the course, giving them the opportunity to get the right job. Instructors are professionals in their respective fields and have a large network of business contacts, which gives the students a big advantage in their job search. Arbutus College is accredited by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency. Students are eligible for support by the Human Resources Development Canada. The college is also affiliated to Royal Roads University and International House. The College offers programs ranging from two-month foundation certificates to a two-year professional diploma. The credits earned by students from a certificate are transferable to a diploma program. Students can enroll for a program throughout the year at the beginning of any month. Honors and Internship Diplomas and certificate courses, foundation certificates in various programs related to Communication Arts, Business and Technology are offered. Business programs include Office admin, business internship, professional diploma program in business, honors diploma program with specializations, business management, marketing and international trade, Transfer to Royal Roads University and Foundations in Business. Communication Arts gives students a foundation in communication, business English, communication, translation and interpretation in Japanese/Korean. Technology courses teach computer graphics and web page design and computer networking (Information Technology).
