The School currently has 10 programs of which 5, Acting, Directing, Playwriting, Set and Costume Design, and Technical Production are taught in English and 5, Écriture dramatique, Interprétation, Mise en scène, Production, and Scénographie, are instructed in French. Interesting Facts The National Theatre School of Canada is a bilingual (English and French) school of higher education in Montreal specializing in various aspects of theatre production taught by about 150 instructors, most of which are fill-time or part-time professionals from throughout Canada and the world. Admission to the school is by audition and entry standards are high with only a few students getting accepted per year. For example, in the last round of auditions only 53 students were accepted out of 1,017 candidates.
